Original: On April 17, CSA Jerusha presented us with a brand new filly. A new Managhieh Hadrujiyah!
It looks like she will be a very dark bay, and might possibly have her dam's rabicano/sabino genes as well. Her body color is a very dark bay--almost black, and her lower legs are an odd silver. She is an independent little cuss, and at 10 days old is already exploring her limits. I have a feeling that we'll have our hands quite full when we begin her training. ;-)
Jerusha is being a pretty good mom now, after a rough beginning. It also looks as though Thimaar has inherited her dam's way of going. She has a breathtaking big trot that seems to have her suspended in midair forever between strides. We will be keeping her as a future addition to our breeding program, and I already have a couple of potential choices in mind for when that time comes. For now, though I am just enjoying the sight of her bounding around the paddock! The next step will be to introduce her to her half brother. That should be something to see.
